Delivering value-based health care: maximising outcomes for every pound we spend
Event date: Wednesday 29th February 2012
On Wednesday 29th February 2012, UCLPartners and the Greater London Authority hosted a meeting for leaders and future leaders of London’s health and social care system. The conference built on two oversubscribed events in 2011, with the same faculty, which were aimed at a national audience. The focus of the session was on value: outcomes achieved for patients per pound spent.
The programme included an introduction to value-based health care delivery (VBHCD) from Prof Michael Porter (Harvard), and examples of applying VBHCD: In a large provider organisation with Prof Tom Lee (Partners Community Healthcare, Inc.); and Across the stroke pathway in London with Dr Charlie Davie (UCLPartners)
Thank you to those that were able to join us. We hope you found it an inspiring and informative session.
