The UCLP Staff College

The need for effective leadership in the Health Service has never been greater.  An enhanced self-awareness lies at the heart of the Staff College approach. Using tried and tested leadership development methodologies; the UCLP NHS Staff College aims to equip individuals with the necessary personal and institutional leadership skills.

At the heart of the programme, developed with proven, experienced leaders from the Armed Forces, Industry and Healthcare, are four fundamental development objectives that will be addressed by four distinct and challenging modules preceded by a two day selection and briefing event.

Candidates will proceed to Staff College Membership if both they and the Faculty believe it is in their best interests. Each module is for a duration of four days. The four modules are:

• Selection and self-awareness
• Self-management
• Understanding extreme personal leadership in the context of leading teams
• Big Leadership
